Place was super clean and plenty of space for a family of 5. Walking distance to pretty much everything in Bar Harbor and took e-bikes into Acadia.

We highly recommend this rental property. It was immaculate, spacious and very comfortable. The location was great, a short drive to Acadia and quiet yet within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, etc. The property owners were wonderful and went out their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We were very happy that we chose this rental!

We were within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. The house was very clean. With nine of us staying there we were a bit concerned with it only being 1600 ft.² and only two bathrooms, but it worked! The only downside of the house to me was that the Wi-Fi and phone service was extremely sketchy. The parking was tight for two cars and we had to get special permission of where to park the third. Otherwise it was great!

This home was perfect for our Bar Harbor / Acadia vacation. Steps from all that Bar Harbor has to offer yet nestled on a quiet side street. 10 minutes from Acadia and the beauty it provides. Bedrooms were well furnished and spacious and bathrooms had everything you needed. Kitchen, dining and living room all open air and connected allowing everyone to spend quality time together. WiFi worked great - considering we had 9 people (4 adults and 5 kids ranging from
16 to 9 who streamed a little bit of everything). Hosts checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. Lovely home - would absolutely recommend to friends.

We had a wonderful stay. DeeDee and Scott went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The property is newly painted, new sheets and towels, and a fully stocked kitchen. You literally cannot beat the location. We will definitely be back!

There were 8 of us and we all loved it. Perfect location as you can just walk to town. Very clean and the owners were wonderful. They lived near by and only stopped in to make sure we didn’t have any questions.

The house and location were perfect for our family vacation and hiking adventures at Acadia. Everything was clean and comfortable. We loved being able to cook breakfast each day and come back to a place with plenty of space to relax after a long day in the park. A quick walk gets you to the beautiful shore path and the many shops and restaurants. The owners were wonderful and ensured everything was taken care of. Great spot!

Great location right in Bar Harbor. Right around the corner from a great park (if you have kids like us) and easy walking into town to all the shops and restaurants. Lots of space and amenities.
Our issues were with Vacasa, the property management group. They were very unhelpful. The property owner (who left their contact info inside) were great and very nice! Overall we loved our stay and the house. It's just the property management group that was not great.

Only 10 minutes to Acadia national park. Extremely clean, large kitchen, and comfortable beds. Our hosts Dee Dee and Scott were wonderful!

We stayed in DeeDee and Scott’s house for four nights during the Fourth of July holiday. They were very helpful and gave great suggestions for things to do in the area. Communication was very easy and quick. DeeDee even checked in with us daily to see if there was anything we needed. The property was spacious, comfortable, clean, and had absolutely everything we needed. We even had a fire pit in the backyard and roasted s’mores one night. The house location provided easy access to all things Bar Harbor and was less than a 10 minute drive to the entrance of Acadian National Park.

My family traveled from Pennsylvania to Bar Harbor for a family wedding. This vacation home was perfect for our family of parents, teenagers, and young children. Each bedroom had a TV, the gathering area and kitchen were nice size, and it was only a two minute walk to a large playground or a two minute walk to downtown Bar Harbor. The house was not fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the campfire area in the back. We had three nights sitting around the campfire having fun!

Stayed here with my family, my brother’s family and our parents! It was nice we could meet up and all stay together comfortably!! Our trip was short but we definitely enjoyed the house with its great location. The house was in the perfect spot to walk to restaurants, shops and even some hiking trails! We also walk to our Whale watching trip which was so nice because we didn’t have to hunt for a parking spot! We came to hike at Acadia and to go fishing but unfortunately it had rained and our fishing trip got cancelled. However our day was not ruined we got to enjoy this great house and hung out and played cards. Lots of space for all 10 of us. When there was a break in the weather we were able to walk to the Sand Bar Island and hike. Wish we had longer to stay!!

Dee Dee and Scot are the perfect host. The Edgewood property is exactly as described. The rental was spotless and very comfortable for our family of 7. There was plenty of room to park our 3 cars and Scott allowed us to park our 7 bikes in his garage. The house was supplied with plenty of towels, linen, laundry, kitchen and bath supplies. We could not have asked for more. It is in a perfect location and a very easy walk to town. We very much appreciated the individual AC units in each bedroom. The best was the warm blueberry pie that Dee Dee delivered the day we checked in. The Maine blueberries are delicious!! We would definitely rent from Dee and Scott again the next time we are in Bar Harbor. Thanks for sharing your home with us and making our family vacation perfect.

My family and I really enjoyed our first-time vacation experience in Bar Harbor, Maine at Dee's place! She and her son worked to make our entire stay a pleasure. The amenities were wonderful and the location was close to Main Street and the Downtown Bar Harbor area. With 5 bedrooms and 2 full baths, a living room, dining area and kitchen, we had plenty of space for the 6 of us. We also enjoyed sitting at the outdoor firepit! This VRBO is right next to the YMCA, ball fields and a playground, so it is idea for the entire family. I would highly recommend Dee's Place!!

This house was fantastic! It's a quick walk to main street, and only about 10-15 minutes driving to Sand Beach inside Acadia National Park. Super clean, nice backyard, plenty of sleeping space, tvs in every room, wifi...we all really enjoyed it!

DeeDee & Scott were really excellent hosts. Great house for our large family, in a great central location. Easy walk to anything in town, and very close to Acadia entrance. House was very clean, well stocked, and they were super helpful with recommendations, and everything else we needed during our stay.

DeeDee and Scott were wonderful hosts. Their home is impeccably clean and super comfortable. They were always available for any questions we had, and they made sure we had everything we needed after each day of spectacular hiking in Acadia. On one of these days we found a delicious blueberry pie waiting for us! We highly recommend this lovely home. And we loved the accessibility to restaurants and grocery stores, just a short walk away. Can't wait to return!

DeeDee and Scott were outstanding hosts, they made our stay a special memory for all of us. They accommodated our every request. They were helpful in coaching us on the best way to enjoy the town, the parade, other city activities and the 4th of July fireworks. They made us feel like locals. They were generous and also communicated with us frequently about what we might need.
There was plenty of space for 10 people to relax and enjoy each other whether it was playing games, chatting in the living room or in the backyard. The location was ideal, one block from downtown but still a quiet street. It was close to the bus that takes you all over MDI for free. We found a favorite place to eat, Side Street Cafe is a fun spot.
New towels, quilts, sheets and the newly remodeled house was clean and comfortable. We felt like it was home. There was a useful table or chair in all the right places. The house was uncluttered but decorated in a homey way. There was comfortable beds with A/C in each room. The BBQ and back table were fun to use. The house had every convenience of home including everything necessary for making home made pies. We appreciated the cooler she left for our use and the water bottles in the refrigerator were an unexpected treat.
We all are looking forward to seeing Dee Dee and Scott again and their comfortable house. Thank you for the memories!! No other house has compared to this one.

My family and I recently visited Bar Harbor. The trip was a big surprise to me. My husband and 18 year old daughter planned the entire trip. She graduated from high school this May.The trip was a reward for her due diligence and excellence in all that she has accomplished. The list is long. She deserved this trip and many more to come. By the time I was enlightened, all details were ironed out, bookings were completed and had been paid in advance. In part, I do believe to prevent me from making adjustments. I am typically the planner. I tend to over think the details. I often work up to the minute of departure and end up stressing so much that I do not enjoy the trip preparation at all...nor do they. My husband is not detail oriented at all. I was a bit concerned. Thankfully, she is a researcher. She wanted to visit a National Park with natural scenic beauty, outdoor hiking, biking, etc. Over the course of a few months...Isabella and several friends scouted options. Chem II classmates took the journey with her via many a promotional video. Bar Harbor was the winner! Trip preparations were put into play. Once she connected to DeeDee, the rest was easy. By the time we arrived, it seemed we were visiting family rather than traveling to a place we had never been. Our home away from home was just that. We arrived very late. Scott walked over to leave the house unlocked for us. Credit # 1 to the community, it exudes a feeling of safety...how nice. You can actually sleep with the windows open. The home is immaculate and cozy. It feels like home the minute you walk through the door. Fresh blueberry muffins from a local bakery with juice had been lovingly provided. Maps and brochures of all the "must-see sites" lined the kitchen counter. Truly, they thought of everything - play station, Netflix, brand new fixtures, laundry detergent, hand soap, bath soap, an assortment of coffee and tea, nice linens, comfy beds.Typically, in a house rental you get a shell. You spend the first day stocking up on basics and groceries. We did not have to worry about any of that. The location was amazing. We could walk or bike to the downtown area. We were minutes from surrounding major sites. The scenery in Maine is refreshingly beautiful. It can only be described as God's country. His presence is everywhere in the calm setting and natural beauty. If you have never been, you should go. You will not be disappointed. Bar Harbor is loaded with historical and artistic charm. Loved it!

I am so glad I chose to stay at Deedee and Scott's! My college friends and I traveled to Bar Harbor to celebrate our college graduation. The house was beautiful, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The location is great: we easily walked everywhere we went in Bar Harbor and drove a very short distance to enter Acadia each day. Each bedroom has a smart TV so we were able to watch Netflix if we wanted to at night and there was a video game console and some games to play as well. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Scott even left a guitar in the living room for us! The backyard has a nice patio with lounge chairs, a grill, and picnic table, so we had a nice BBQ one night. Deedee and Scott were more than hospitable--they thought of everything. There was tea and coffee for us in the morning and there was a fresh blueberry pie in the fridge when we arrived. They were both available to answer any questions via text that I had on the trip. Deedee and Scott are both very kind and welcoming. This is a perfect house for a large family, multiple families, or a big group of adults. Bar Harbor and Acadia were absolutely beautiful, and I hope to go back one day. If I go back, I will definitely stay at Deedee's house again.
