About this house rental
Libby's Landing(a legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law) is located in Old West Winthrop, on the river, with a stunning backyard view of the Chewuch River. This historic Winthrop house has been updated beautifully. The kitchen and bathroom are state of the art and charming. The back features lush green grass, with a little bridge that crosses the irrigation ditch, which runs between the house and the Chewuch River. Next door, you can easily traverse the Chewuch river on a walking suspension bridge which takes you on a riverwalk through 13 acres of open space.
The house features two bedrooms with Queen beds. There is a large table to gather around in the river-view back room, or to sit, work, and gaze at the wildlife that gathers at the watering hole below. The front living room is comfortable, and it is fun to watch the Winthrop goings on. Always something!
**The rear of the house has easy access to the river as well as to an irrigation ditch that runs from May to early October. The owners are concerned that it may be potentially dangerous for young children, and they discourage children families with young children, especially during irrigation season and early spring runoff.**

IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION :
**Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA
**Propane Fireplace--should there be tech issues or the propane fireplace upon your arrival please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given.

What an awesome place! A great time of year to be there because the summer crowds hadn’t arrived yet. Beautiful area of Washington State

Absolutely loved this place - cozy, charming, beautifully remodeled, with an amazing location. The house is situated right at the end of Winthrop's main street, so you can bop right our your front door and to the local shops and saloons. Lovely back room that looks out over the Chewuch River. Fantastic kitchen. Would definitely come back again! Had to pre-plan for dog as we could not leave him in the house unattended, so we brought a warm coat and extra blankets to keep him comfy in the car whenever we had to go somewhere that he could not accompany us, but really appreciated the dog-friendly policy that allowed him to come with us. Only thing lacking in this adorable house is a fireplace or woodstove. Would love to stay here in the summer as well, as the back yard area is beautiful and you could sit out by the river. We would highly recommend this rental.

We so enjoyed our stay in Winthrop and the location of the house being right down main street. We walked everywhere! Being pet friendly was the bed as our lab is part of the family and goes everywhere with us. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect spot for a Winthrop stay. In town for shopping. Restful location on stream. Great kitchen and dining areas with well stocked kitchen essentials.

The property is on the river and in town, great location. We had a great time visiting many of our favorite spots in this area.
The house was excellent and nicely stocked with everything you will need.
The property manager responding quickly to a few questions we had prior to our trip.

My husband and I stayed in Winthrop as our “base camp” to hike and enjoy the Northern Cascades for our birthdays. This property was absolutely phenomenal! We felt right at home with all the amenities provided and super appreciated that it allowed our fur baby! The backyard views are beautiful and the location can’t be beat!
Thanks for the great trip!

This home was the perfect home base for four friends enjoying a weekend away together while participating in the Sunflower Relay. We were able to walk everywhere in town and explored the walking path along the river across the foot bridge. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

Cozy, fun home with an amazing view. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfy and the place was clean. We did encounter an ant problem in the dining room and had to stand in the kitchen to eat. I would be interested in staying here again.

We had a wonderful weekend in Winthrop for a hockey tournament and the location of Libby’s Landing was perfect. This house is directly at the end of the main strip and made walking around town a breeze. The low cleaning score is because there was still a mess in the toilet when we arrived. Other than that we would stay here again.
