A delightful little haven in the midst of the bustling old quarter. We particularly loved our terrace room.

Based in the centre of town very close to everything. Easy to walk everywhere you need to be, with lots of bars & resturants. Little bits of local history too if you want to do that. The Breakfast in hotels, is something we normally steer well clear of. However they had a good choice of Vietnamese & European Food. Even the coffee was good! However stick to the standard and not the local coffee unless you are a big lover of Coconut ;-)

The local traffic is Insane! They will mount the pavement take a short cut, they will jump lights and they will not stop for you! Take care or get a local to help you accross the rd!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, quiet, shower worked fine. They have in-house spa and massage options at an acceptable price. Breakfast was ok, hotel is good located in the old quarter and comfortable to walk in the nearby area. They offer reliable transfer service with the airport. Laundry and currency exchange services in the same street. Several ATMs, restaurants and a couple of mini-market in the close area. We had a good time and would most likely repeat if we visit Hanoi again.

In general no issues at all. Our room had no window, we were aware when booking and had no issue with it, but recommend double-checking in case it might be an issue for other travellers.

An amazing hotel, the staff was very nice and helpful. The room was fantastic, very spacious. Breakfast was absolutely superb. Great location right in the center of old town.

only negative was the taxi they called for us to take us to the airport was a bit of a scam. it was supposed to be a 300,000 dong ride for 30km and the ride was exactly 30km but the driver argued and said the total was much higher.

The staff at the Hanoi Pearl are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and they go out if their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The location in the old quarter very close to Hoan Kiem Lake and good restaurants is fantastic. The rooms are extremely comfortable and exceptionally clean.

To be fair, we were there during holiday season, probably there was a short of staff. Our rooms were missing towels, we had to call twice and waited. When a staff brought the towels, she insisted to check on the bathroom to make sure. well, i didn’t want to make a fuss at that time. but actually, it was very rude, unacceptable.

The Hanoi Pearl is located in the middle of the Old Quarter. First attractions can be reached within a few minutes. Our room was very clean, breakfast and food from the restaurant are very good. Special praise to the staff - room cleaning is impeccable. The staff in general is helpful and polite.

We were looking for a hotel that was "wheelchair accessible", where the Hanoi Pearl actually meets all the criteria according to this website. However, this is not the case. There is no ramp into the hotel and also the bar and the gym on the top floor are only accessible via a long staircase. Not even a mobile ramp is available. Very unfortunate. The view of the "old town" is just the view of the hotel across the street.

I cannot think of any improvements for the way Heart Lodge is run (Mat asked if I had any which is in itself great that they want to continuously improve!)

The hotel is right in the heart of the old quarter in Hanoi just perfect for me walking out of the hotel and the real Vietnamese Life is instantly there everything I can ask for, excellent hotel staff, from the cleaning maids to the staff who ran the breakfast area to the receptionists to the door men I couldn’t have asked for more 😊

Location was great! The doorman a young lad ,so smiling and great service. Wasn't there when we where leaving to tip him .see ya next year.

The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained, and the desk staff, all of whom are fluent in English, are extremely friendly and polite, and in general very eager to be of assistance. The rooftop bar is very pleasant, especially at night in the outdoor area, with a partial view of the lake and the glass towers of the city beyond. The room, like the rest of the hotel, was impeccably clean, and the bed was very soft but firm, allowing me two nights of wonderful sleep. I want to add that the duty manager at the front desk, Jimmy, made it his mission to ensure my stay was problem-free, going so far as to organize and schedule a ride back to Thai Nguyen for me when my plans changed at the last moment (something I appreciated a lot, given that I don't speak Vietnamese). Thanks again, Jimmy!
