The strange rule that the hotel doesn't let it's guests bring food (including snacks) and drinks (including water) from outside. Not even allowing water to be brought from outside for own consumption is odd. They should get rid of this practice

The hotel had this policy of not allowing any food from outside. Being a Muslim I wanted to order Halal food from outside but was met with obnoxious response from the staff. Staff's ability to understand and speak English could be improved. Breakfast had very limited choices, mostly local food. The location was really difficult to approach and in the middle of a residential area, away from any major road or landmark.

The stay at the Grand Palace Hotel was fantastic! The hotel is beautiful, it has a great restaurant, beautiful rooms, fantastic gym and even sauna! In addition, the staff is extremely kind and helpful. My friend and I arrived much earlier than the regular check-in time. Not only the Hotel was able to arrange an early check-in for each of us, but it also offered a complimentary breakfast considering the early time of our arrival.

The room was a bit basic, with just a small wardrobe and no other storing space (a bigger table would help). Few power plugs, and inconveniently placed (a couple of multiplugs would solve). No hairdryer, and no air conditioning nor any way to let the bath towels dry after shower. Anyway it’s all small flaws that can be easily overcome.
