We just spent three memorable days at Lisbon. The host is very helpful and knowledgeable. She was willing to go above and beyond to help her guest and patiently addressed some of my very naive questions. The property is in the middle of all the happenings and you don’t need public transportation if you hang out at the city center. Plan to come back again!

What a fantastic place. Everything about Doris and her place is first class. It was super clean, and she took care of so many little extras to make it feel like home. We especially loved the bread and jam. The neighborhood is very safe, and there are some great experiences just a short walk away. Realize that the apartment is about halfway up the hill, so you’ll need to go either uphill or downhill to go anywhere, but it is only a short walk. I’d highly recommend guests try to get a reservation at Amago just a short walk away and at the same level as Casa Gloria. The apartment is cery spacious and would be great for a family, although it was just my wife and I. We could’ve stayed here for a couple, and I’d look to book again when I come back to Lisbon. Thank you doris for being such a great host. Looking forward to cafe together for our next trip!

I cannot say about how amazing this property is. It is extremely spacious and was able to easily accommodate our large group that was in town for a wedding. Doris our host is one of the nicest people that you will ever meet. She was incredibly communicative and made everything so easy. The apartment is very thoughtfully appointed, perfectly located, and has all the comforts of home! Don't hesitate to book.

Our family of 7 had a wonderful stay at this charming flat. Doris was a great host and very easy to communicate with. The self- check-in process was a breeze and once inside the flat we were treated to fresh bread, fruit, beer, and a fully stocked coffee bar. The photos of the flat are accurate with a couple of additional comments. First, the windows have been changed to a more energy/sound efficient style (better in our opinion since they enhanced the amazing views from the main living space). Second, we were surprised to find the second "shower room" was a closet like space off the kitchen next to the breakfast table. It's very nicely done and efficient with plenty of hot water. We found it only added to the quirky charm of this lovely flat. There was construction going on next door. We liked being up and out early so it didn't bother us. However, if you love to sleep in it would be an issue. We would definitely return to Casa Gloria!

während der sechs Tage, die wir in Lissabon verbracht haben, hat es uns in der Wohnung an nichts gefehlt, sie war uns ein gemütlicher und - gemessen an den Verhältnissen in der Stadt - ruhiger Ausgangspunkt, um Lissabon zu entdecken. Von Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler, Kaffeemaschine und Gasherd mit Backofen bis hin zu Bettwäsche, Hand- und Duschtüchern sowie Seife, Toilettenpapier und sogar Regenschirmen war alles vorhanden. Nur eine Straße weiter hügelabwärts gibt es mehrere Restaurants, von denen wenigstens zwei günstiges Essen in guter Qualität anbieten. Die angrenzenden Stadtteile bieten darüberhinaus eine Unzahl weiterer kulinarischer Angebote, die in einigen Minuten Fußweg leicht zu erreichen sind. Für Ausflüge nach Sintra liegt der Bahnhof Rossio nahe bei, nach Cascais der Bahnhof Cais do Sodré wenige Kilometer entfernt. Ein wenig schwierig ist die Versorgung mit Lebensmitteln, wenn man selbst kochen will, denn wir konnten nur einen einzigen kleinen Supermarkt in der Umgebung in ca. 750m Entfernung finden - deshalb ein Stern Abzug in puncto Lage und Umgebung. Fazit: Sehr gute Unterkunft.

This apartment was perfect for our stay in Lisbon. Each of the four bedrooms was quite spacious with plenty of room to unpack and store luggage (two rooms have huge wardrobes in the hall). The kitchen was palatial by European standards and nicely appointed. The availability of a crib and high chair made our lives significantly easier too. The apartment is also in a perfect location (with a beautiful view out the back windows). It is on a quite street but only two and a half blocks off of the main road leading into the city center which means that there are easy transport options as well as tons of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Some of our party had limited mobility but were able to Uber anywhere in the city without any problems. The owner, Doris, is delightful and very responsive. She was also most helpful when it came to arranging transportation. Without a doubt, if our paths take us to Lisbon again we will be staying here!

The owner was superbly helpful in answering communications before our trip, in helping us arrive and she was present to welcome us on reaching the property. The flat is in a great central location but not on a busy street. It is very convenient for Metro and buses, with really good public transport around Lisbon. The property is of a very high standard and well appointed throughout. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is a great living space in the combined living/dining room area. We four brothers were very comfortable in each of the 4 bedrooms. Two bathroom and separate shower facilities were most convenient. Everything was spotless on arrival.There is plenty of storage to unpack into.There was a much appreciated welcome pack of fresh bread, butter, fruit, wine to get us going. Information on convenient food shopping made it easy to stock up for our stay. There were many convenient and excellent places to eat out locally. It was unseasonably warm for September and the fans throughout the flat were put to good use. I am very happy to recommend this property highly for a short or longer break.

The apartment is fairly central and easy to reach by public transport and is a comfortable walking distance from so many of Lisbon's sights and amenities.The flat itself is well set out (with plenty of space for our family of 6) and had all the facilities one could reasonably hope for.I would have no hesitation in staying here again, or recommending this accommodation to others.

I can only echo the comments of others; Doris is the perfect host, the attention to detail leaves nothing to chance, she goes out of her way to make the whole experience one to remember - it's all those little details that make the difference. This is a comfortable, well equipped, immaculately clean apartment perfectly located for a city break in Lisbon. We loved it and could happily move in and live there - in fact it is is so comprehensively equipped that you could do just that. Thank you Doris for your warm welcome and wonderful service. The Apartment exceeded expectations, the photographs although a very good representation do not do it justice. It is a lovely bright and airy apartment that was perfect for our stay. The location is quiet but not too far away from great bars, restaurants and areas of interest. Doris was very helpful from booking right through to when we left. I couldn’t recommend this more.

Groot en schoon appartement gelegen in het centrum van Lissabon, vlakbij een metro station. Goed geschilkt voor meerdere personen ( wij waren met zeven personen). Neem wel goede wandelschoenen mee want sommige straten zijn nogal steil. Prima weekend gehad!

We stayed in this first floor apartment for 2 weeks in July 2016. We were delighted when we were shown around the apartment as it was just as lovely as the photos suggest. The rooms were spacious, clean and very nicely decorated. There is decent wifi, TV, DVD player, CD player and an intriguing selection of books (including a few kids' books). There is no air-conditioning but there are plenty of fans and even in the sweltering heat this was perfectly tolerable. The owner provided a travel cot and high chair for our 20-month old daughter, for whom the flat was completely suitable. Towels etc were provided.The location was perfect for us - just off the Av. da Liberdade so within easy reach of lots of interesting sights and areas and easy to catch taxis too. There were half a dozen decent restaurants within a couple of hundred metres of the apartment. The area felt safe and friendly.The owner was professional and prompt in all her dealings with us before and during our stay. She kindly booked us taxis to and from the airport. We had a small problem with the washing machine during our stay and it was dealt with very quickly. The welcome we received from Mark (Doris' husband) was warm and we were also given some milk, bread, fruit, butter, wine and homemade jam to get us started. The advice we were given regarding restaurants etc was spot on. We met Doris when she came to change sheets/towels half way through our stay and she was very friendly and helpful.In all we had a really wonderful stay in Lisbon and this was due in no small part to Doris and her lovely apartment. Doris, the host, could not have been more hospitable. She was waiting in the apartment for us despite our 3 hour delay and after-midnight arrival. A welcome pack of milk, bread, butter, fruit, wine and homemade jam was greatly appreciated too. The apartment has 4 good size bedrooms a large living/dining area and a separate kitchen with small dining area. Three of the four bedrooms have optional shutters for those who like to sleep in a dark room. The rooms are all larger than they appear in the pictures. There is plenty of storage and practical items e.g. iron, hoover, toilet rolls, shopping trolley, laundry racks. The view from the apartment is great and it is located on a quiet cobbled street on the first floor of an apartment block. If you are arriving from the airport, use the taxi service Doris offers - it is a good price for having someone there ready with a large van right outside the doors who knows where they're going. The apartment itself is located in a nice area two blocks back from the main road with designer shops located on it. It is an incline from the main road to the apartment although it probably felt worse to us as we were pushing two babies uphill in prams! It is approximately a 8-10min walk to the centre of Lisbon and a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro - a good central location for a city break. There are a few really highly trip advisor rated restaurants a 2 minute walk from the apartment too.

My 4 friends and I spent a delightful week in the beautiful Casa da Gloria. The apartment is well situated, close to the centre of town with shops, restaurants and train and metro stations within a 10 minute walk The apartment is very well appointed and decorated, we loved that the towels co-ordinated with the colours of the rooms. It is incredibly well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The only negative thing for us was that it was sometimes a bit noisy at night from the people upstairs and also outside. Doris is a wonderful host, friendly and extremely helpful - she even carried my suitcase upstairs for me. She also arranged our transport to and from the airport which we found very helpful. Lisbon is a lovely city and this is a great place to stay for a memorable holiday.

This is an excellent apartment. Very clean, spacious and well equipped. Very central location, but also quiet. On the first floor of a small block. Lots of nice touches like a welcome pack, lots of spare household basics like toilet paper, kitchen towel, cling film etc. There is a shower room, a separate toilet and also a bathroom with shower and toilet. Doris is very organised, both before the trip and on arrival and departure. Very friendly and welcoming. She organised a mini van to pick us up (and drop us) at the airport at a fair price, which saved queing for a cab (it was a long queue). We were two adults and three children, and we all thought this was one of the best places we had rented.

A warm welcome from the owner, Doris, who was also very helpful about getting around the city. Impressed by the spaciousness of this light, airy and well decorated apartment. Equipped with everything we needed for our stay, including Wifi. Good views from the sitting room over the rooftops. Located in a side street between Bairro Alto and Baixa. Convenient for public transport with restaurants nearby. Would certainly recommend it and would use again if returning to Lisbon

The staying in Casa Gloria was a success: Doris is a very friendly en helpful owner, and everything was perfect: the bedrooms, the kitchen, the living room with digital TV and stereo, wifi: all was there and in clean condition. However, a balcony is not present, but that is really the only negative thing I can think of. The location is very near the centre, but in the Barrio Alto part of Lisbon. A good physical exercise to do the stairs!

The appartment was perfect for two families (4 adults +4 teenagers). Welcome fruit basket, wine, etc., towels in 8 colours, a nice CD collection and other extras made us feel at home. Location of appartment is perfect, close to great infrastructure and relatively quiet. Appartment has style, and is practical. We had a great holiday!

An excellent and spacious 4 bed apartment in an ideal location.On the edge of the Bairro Alto district of Lisbon City,it is convenient for many bars, restaurants,shops and tourism....and people watching. The decor and layout of the apartment is superbly tasteful. The owner...Doris...is charming and really helpful,nothing is too much trouble.This was our first visit to Lisbon and we will return for sure. The apartment would have had 5 stars if there had been air conditioning (even a small mobile unit). Regarding Lisbon city, the people are friendly and helpful and,as usual in Europe, speak English! Watch out when crossing roads as taxi drivers take no prisoners...by the way taxis are very cheap here. Enjoy the apartment and enjoy Lisbon.
