Eine Unterkunft in einem typisch britischen Backsteingebäude - sehr persönlich, sehr sauber und mit täglicher Reinigung des Zimmers falls erwünscht. Die Stadtmauer und damit der Eingang der Altstadt sind in 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Der zwanzigminütige Weg zur Universität führt durch eine schöne Wiesenlandschaft.

Upon arrival, we were met with a very kind and helpful person to check us in. The room we stayed in was super nice and everything was clean. Beds were comfy. Also, location is great. Just a short walk to the city center and there are pubs and restaurants near the house as well. Definitely recommend!

Location was ideal with lovely walk along river to centre. Nice clean room and very comfortable bed.
Shower didn't have a lot of water pressure but nothing to worry about.

The very helpful man (whose name I'm ashamed to say I've forgotten) changed our noisy rooom at the front to a quiet one at the back, as soon as he could.
The situation, with Ouse footpath so close, was a delight.
That there was no facility for making oneself breakfast - I don't consider a kettle answers the problem. Also, as I don't like instant coffee or PG tips tea, i would have liked decaff instant and alternative teabags - perhaps in a box in the Hall? I realise I'm probably unusual.

The owner was very welcoming and helpful during my stay. The room was lovely and clean, decent sized rooms and space bathroom. It was only a short 15 minute walk to town, with loads to do.

Water randomly went out for a few hours but then turned back on for the rest of the stay. Lack of toiletres.

On arrival, we were greeted with a very warm and welcoming smile from Steve, the host. He promptly described the facilities and pointed out the secure, off road parking and we settled in in minutes. The room was more than large enough for our single-night stay and the bed was very comfortable. Having the bathroom en suite was a bonus and it was very clean and well equipt.

It was extremely clean, had excellent facilities and is in a brilliant location. The city centre is a 10-15 minute walk from the guest house but there are a few bus stops nearby too. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed.

This family run guest house is a cosy place to stay while in York. The room was clean, the location was excellent and most importantly, we had a very good night sleep thanks to the comfortable bed and the total silence. The fluffy carpet in the room was a bliss after walking all day outside :). The value for money is beyond comparison so we would really love to come back someday!

Excellent location, quiet neighbourhood, very close to the city centre. Friendly staff. Very useful off-street parking. Comfortable bed, spacious room.
The bathroom was a bit on a small side, although clean and fully functioning.
