The place is in need of upgrading, everything worked and was functional.

This place was clean, tidy, very friendly and helpful staff. With only a 5 minute walk to the city

Only thing that needs upgrading are the beds and pillows, they wasn’t the most comfortable

York is a wonderful town to visit. We like walking so we were OK to walk a bit extra distance to get to this property. The owner of the establishment has good communication going. We have asked for some plates and forks and thank you for providing them. The room was on the upper floor and it was all set up for us - tea /coffee/hot chocolate. The name of the room that I booked - King Deluxe Room had liitle relevance to the room I thought. Our big

Our double bed dudnt allow us to have a good night rest. So had to sleep l9nger judt to eake up. The whole stay experienve was so spoilt by one action -"we were almost thrown out of our room. The check out announced at 10 am. And our taxi to the railway was ordered for 10.50 am With no waiting room and no communal area to wait we were just sitting on the stairs waiting (raiming outside ) I would expect the owners would be more flexible with their strict policy. That was a terrible stress in the morbing as a start of our long journey. Personally I would not stay here again.

Dark curtains or blinds missing. For that price, a small refrigerator in the room would be appropriate.

The weather! The room was uncomfortably hot. I would have preferred to have breakfast in a dining room rather than in our bedroom.
