We had 5 ladies on our annual girls trip to the mountains. This home was absolutely perfect for our week. The location was fantastic, 5 min. to West Jefferson (which we all loved!) and close to Blowing Rock and Boone (This is a big shopping group). The home was very clean, kitchen well stocked, view off the back deck was wonderful, which we enjoyed morning and evening. Bedroom space was great and all very comfortable, great privacy. I would highly recommend this home, we will definitely be back! Owners were extremely responsive and checked in on us at arrival, which was very nice.

This is the third year our family has stayed at Our Point of View. There is plenty of room for our family. The house is beautifully decorated with authentic mountain decor. The views from the deck are great. The owners provided us with just about everything needed for a comfortable stay. There are many great restaurants and shops nearby. We look forward to coming back next year.

My wife, youngest daughter, and I stayed here June 15-22, 2024, sharing the cabin with two extended family members. “Our Point of View” is the most beautiful, comfortable cabin we have had the pleasure of renting in our 36 yearly trips to the area. It is a well maintained home with a fully equipped kitchen and modern conveniences throughout. The five of us had plenty of space to be together or to have privacy and quiet. Well up into the mountains, it is nevertheless easily accessible by paved road and provides wonderful vistas from windows and large porches. Parking is very limited on the property and guests not registered to stay at the cabin are not permitted, limiting its use in welcoming other family members for meals etc. when coming to the area for larger family reunions as we do each Summer. All in all, we definitely hope to be back soon.

4 couples from around the US got together for a crazy 100 mile bike ride !! The accommodations were absolutely fantastic, with veiws to die for right off the deck!!! Deer every moring in the yard, such a wonderful place to stay!!!

Our family spent a wonderful weekend at this beautiful house. There was plenty of room for our family. The house is well stocked with anything you might need. We enjoyed many hours relaxing on the deck enjoying the great views of the mountains. The location was great. It is close to downtown West Jefferson. We enjoyed browsing in the cute shops and there are many great restaurants. We are planning to come back to this house again next year.

Had wanted to go to W Jefferson for years and finally did this trip to the mountains. Rented this property because of its proximity to town while still in a gorgeous, mountain setting. Well-stocked. Clean. Easy to cook meals in but also enjoyed a retirement dinner celebration at Craft Bistro in town. Also, all roads paved/accessible to home. Views and lovely breeze on deck made for many memorable moments. It was 93 at home (central nc) one day and 75 there! Ahhhhhh.

Kathy and Steve have thought of everything you might need or want in a vacation home. It is definitely a "home" and not a "house." We knew that mid November might bring a few weather surprises and we got to enjoy them all from hurricane rains to an inch of snow all in two days! We didn't mind at all because we were all very satisfied cooking, playing games and snoozing. We did get to enjoy the peaceful view several times when the sun broke through and took lots of nice photos. We also were visited by deer each day! This was our second trip to Our Point of View and we are looking forward to visiting again next year! Kathy and Steve, thank you for texting and checking in on us!

Our family spent a wonderful weekend in your lovely home. Your house was well stocked with all the essentials. The views were great. We enjoyed watching a deer and her fawn feeding on the grass near the house. We enjoyed shopping in West Jefferson and trying some the local restaurants. Our family had a great time.

Good experience
We had a wonderful week staying here. This cabin is private but close to W Jefferson and easy to access. Kitchen was well stocked, every room was clean, and the beds were quite comfortable. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Great Views and easy location
The house is very cozy and nicely decorated. We especially enjoyed the back deck with the beautiful views and lovely weather. There were many notes to makes sure you understood the rules and expectations of the owners. Only draw back was that we had 9 people staying and limited seating in the living room and hardly any in the pool table room. However the pool and ping pong tables were a big hit with our teenagers. Thank you again for sharing your home.

Home was PERFECT for our family time back up in West Jefferson. We ranged in age from 27 to 83 and there are rooms that accommodated all! Beautiful views! Easy access in and out of property to all we had planned to do. We will stay here again!

Breathtaking views!!
We enjoyed our stay in this Mountain house so much! The kitchen was well-equipped, and the house was clean throughout. We loved that the house is tucked away, yet close enough to to for us to do some shopping and dining in West Jefferson! The golf course close by- Mountain Air- was beautiful and well maintained. Our favorite part of this house was sitting out on the deck watching the sunsets!

Nice house overall that met our needs satisfactory. Somewhat dusty on arrival and some kitchen utensils/pans with obvious food residue. All appliances, TV’s, and home heating equipment in good working order. Did not use gas log fireplace, outside grill or fire pit. House rules/directions posted prominently thru-out house. Great mountain views from deck!

A beautiful home with everything for a great trip to the mountains! Lots of Adirondack chairs on the upper deck to enjoy the view. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and enjoyed playing pool in the evenings after spending the days shopping in the close-by,quaint town of West Jefferson! We'll be back!

The home is beautiful and very clean. We loved the views from the deck. The material of the deck was perfect for our granddaughter to crawl on and not get any splinters since it was not made of actual wood. There was plenty of seating options on the deck as well. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals in the kitchen or on the grill. The location is perfect as you can get to the grocery store and downtown West Jefferson in a matter of minutes.

What a beautiful home for your group to stay on our vacation! The owners are super nice and responded quickly! The kitchen is well stocked and the view from the deck is fantastic! Our group went tubing nearby and we really enjoyed walking around the town of West Jefferson as well! You will love staying at this lovely home!

Professionally organized and instructed vacation home with a breathtaking view.
We had 6 adults and 3 teenagers enjoying a long weekend in this "mama bear's home".
House is clean and very well organized; linen, utensils are well stocked; and drawers, doors are clearly labelled. Instructions are also plenty so that you know exactly how to run the house.
Local attractions are clearly documented which is a huge time-saver.
Owners are highly responsive and the communication has been a breath.

Uncomfortable
Cameras all over the property, felt like we were constantly being watched and unable to have company over for a visit without having the owners calling to tell us that they had to leave. Our family rents 5-6 cabins every 4th of July weekend and have rented this cabin before but never had a problem. Must be new owners. My family will never rent this cabin again.

Wonderful Place, Wonderful Hosts
My husband, my sister, my three children, and myself absolutely enjoyed this house! It has everything you need and more. Spectacular views, plenty of space, and a pool table and ping-pong table that your kids will love. We hiked around the house because the views are gorgeous. It’s a short drive to West Jefferson with restaurants, ice cream shops, etc. In town there is a neat playground that my boys enjoyed. Kathy and Steve were very attentive hosts. They answered all questions quickly and gave us all the information we needed. We would love to stay there again. Thank you Kathy and Steve!

Perfect Family Mountain Getaway
We had an amazing time at this property!! The setting is even better than the pictures. Located close to town, yet very secluded and private amongst the neighborhood that it is located in. The sunrise and sunset views from the deck are breathtaking. The house is wonderful for multiple families because there was good separation of space. We had 6 adults and 3 children (3 families total) and there was plenty of space for us to coexist for a few days! The property owners were wonderful. They texted us the first few days of our stay to ensure everything was up to par and to make sure we were settled in nicely which was just in line with the home because it was truly immaculate. So clean. Even in COVID times, we felt completely safe the minute we walked in because the home was so clean and kept up nicely. We will definitely stay here again!!

Perfect Home for R&R
We were all so relaxed and enjoyed this home more than words can describe. After a very tiring 2020, we all needed a break and this was the perfect spot to unwind. The house was super clean and stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. The deck is spacious with an abundance of comfortable seating so you can enjoy the spectacular view. The location was perfect as it was a short drive to West Jefferson. We can't comment on the various spots to go visit because we were so comfortable, we only left the house once to go to the cheese store in West Jefferson and the grocery store. We have rented several different homes in the area over the past 15 years and this is our favorite by far! We hope to go back soon. Kathy and Steve were very helpful, friendly and a pleasure to communicate with. They are experts in creating a vacation experience you will enjoy and remember for a long time!
