First Class hotel and service. Great amenities and looked after by all staff from the minute you walk in till the minute you leave.

Spectacular views along Qurum Beach, staff are warm, friendly and professional - nothing seems too much trouble. All restaurants delivered lovely food with excellent service.

We came to this hotel with our seven year old son and overall would highly recommend this hotel. We arrived a few hours earlier than check in time however after an hour they were able to give us a room and we were given courtesy drinks whilst waiting. Room was spacious and the room service was very good with the usual daily cleaning. Room had iron board/iron. There are two swimming pools, not very deep (1.2m) so perfect to children and those that cannot swim too well. The view from the pool is beautiful, overlooking the sea. You can walk down to a private beach which is lovely and swimming in the sea is a must. It’s not deep at all so do check it out. The breakfast is very good with a lot of variety. They have a live section where you can order different types of eggs/omelettes and veg dosa. They have a large variety of fruits, pastries and cakes. Jacklin is very courteous and always has a smile. I cannot fault the restaurant one bit, the service and food was all amazing. We really felt welcomed each morning. The hotel offers daily transport to the Sultan Qaboos mosque and shopping mall as well as the Mutrah shopping centre in the evenings at 5pm. We are so glad we stayed at this hotel and will definitely be returning here in the near future. Thank you to everyone at Crowne Plaza and we hope to you see soon.

Make sure you get a room with a balcony and you are set. The view is fantastic and a wonderful way to wake up every day. Pools and beach are gorgeous. All very chilled out even on busy nights. Recommended.

We had a good, spacious room with balcony on the parking at 6th floor, but in fact we had partial seaview. Bed very comfortable, all services good. There is also ping-pong. Breakfast buffet, always the same but very good and a lot of variety. Very easy parking. People very helpful and smiling. We tried a evening buffet: very good quality and amazing "little patisserie"

The best sunset view in Muscat

We enjoyed all aspects of our stay. It was during Ramadan and they honored this time with respect and dignity. We would recommend this hotel to all who are looking for a stay in Muscat. Food and service were excellent

The standard of service is noticeably high in this hotel. Staff are quietly attentive, helpful, polite and professional with guests and with each other. The rooms are very comfortable and care is paid to details like comfortable beds and pillows. Worth noting the Hotels quiet commitment to cleanliness. Public areas are peaceful and restful. The beach and pool areas are a pleasure. This is a really relaxing and peaceful hotel I am very glad I chose it for my break from the British Winter.

Functional, well located, nice and clean

Liked the friendly but always courteous staff, high quality food in all restaurants, efficiency, the beach views and the location for access to Muscat.

Booked this as a week long stay for my husbands birthday. The hotel is beautiful, in the most perfect place with gorgeous scenery. The hotel is modern and so clean, there is smells of oud as soon as you walk into reception. We had arrived early (9:30am) and were given access to our room within 1 hour which saved us having to wait around for hours which was great. The room was clean and spacious and had everything you need. We had a lovely king bed with the dreamiest pillows, we always fell asleep so quickly due to it being so comfortable! Rooms were cleaned daily and we had the option to change our towels daily or be eco friendly and keep them. Breakfast always had a good selection. As you can only book breakfast with this hotel, it does get expensive when eating or drinking for lunch and dinner. Food and drink outside the hotel are significantly cheaper. Me and my husband took around a 10 minute walk and found 330ml cans of fizzy drinks for 0.25 Omani riyal (approx 50p in GBP) where as the hotel were selling them for 2 Omani riyal (approx £4!). Pool area was lovely, never had trouble finding a sun bed, even in the afternoon. 2 towels were given by the towel stand without even having to give your room key. Restaurants were very expensive. Buffet had theme nights all week instead of generic buffet which made meals repetitive if you didn’t like the theme night food. Download IHG app and become a member for discounts off your meals! I couldn't fault the place. The staff were brilliant and the restaurants, bars and facilities were very good. If there was one downside it would be that there isn't much in walking distance outside the hotel but that is the same for just about every hotel in Muscat and it's a lot better placed than some of the really expensive ones. In fact i would say the views from here are the best in the city. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to some places and the taxis at the hotel are plentiful and cheaper than hailing one from the street. Overall the hotel is up there with the best in Muscat.

Great location, beautiful views, many dining options!

The Hotel was lovely , the view from the room and poolside was stunning which included the sunsets. The staff were very friendly , considering they seem to work long hours. We would normally go out and eat but there was nothing near by so we ate at 4 of the 5 restaurants . Each was very nice , the Edge served great sushi! The buffet themed night was also good. Would recommend the rooms with a balcony although I would say they could do with being updated but they were fine and clean . If you want a nice hotel to chill out at then I would definitely recommend it . We went out in the morning sight seeing and then chilled around the pool in the afternoon. A couple of sunbed hoggers with their towels but there were plenty to go around !

I visited the hotel in Muscat last in 1997 and, whilst very good then, it is vastly improved now. I particularly enjoyed the themed catering evenings, the position of the hotel overlooking the sea and the very welcoming and helpful staff at all levels. Many thanks I will try not to leave it so long to my next visit.

Nice hotel, but a bit too expensive for Oman.

Spacious room with tremendous view and balcony. Service of a very high standard - all staff pleasant and helpful. As well as dining in the city, we tried 3 of the hotel’s restaurants and all were excellent. Made good use of the facilities such as tennis and gym. Would definately return on our next trip to Muscat.

I have been staying at Crown Plaza since last twenty years whenever I visit Muscat, professional and friendly staff, good service, and nice facilities always made me feel like back home. This time had lunch at Come Prima, sea food pasta was excellent! Also Arlene was very helpful and professional. Look forward to coming back again to Crown Plaza.

Very well managed hotel with a beautiful beach. The staff is also doing well (f.e. Stephen from The Edge). It was our third stay in this hotel. We come again.

No complaints for a one-night stay.

Attentive and friendly staff and a wonderful location. The pool area and private beach access were both great- really enjoyed watching the sunset from the pool bar. Walking from the beach (once the tide had gone out) along Qurum beach to the waterfront area of the city was also enjoyable.

We had a perfect stay at the Crowne Plaza. The staff was always super helpful and friendly and the dining options all delicious! The view from the pool took my breath away! And the secluded private beach was a highlight for our kids. We would most definitely come back and stay here again on another vacation!

Positives: Clean rooms and bathrooms, tea/coffee facilities in room, helpful staff, good variety in buffet breakfast, refillable drinking water arrangement in room ( environmentally friendly) To be improved: the blinds fixed on the glass wall of the bathroom should be inside the glass .. to ensure proper privacy, room amenities are basic Overall - a decent family friendly hotel

Like - possibility of swimming in sea and/or swimming pools - breakfast buffet Not like - room cleaning very late (between 4 and 5 pm!!!!!) and no, we did not put a no disturb-sign on the door. Very inconvenient when coming back from a visit to town of pool and finding a room that is nog cleaned - rooms at seaside have a lot of noise from restaurants in the evenening/night (past 11 pm) - shower in bathroom had only lukewarm water - no restaurants in neighboorhood - room cleaning very late (between 4 and 5 pm!!!!!)
