Misleading pictures of this beautifuly clean deck. The deck had green mold as well as the dirty that is supposed to be a clear railing. The grill was disgusting and I was told to go get the charcoal (not covered). I ran out of room should be able to include pictures I tookcover

A HUGE disappointment to find that the washer did not work and NO ONE notified us prior to our trip. Not good when you pack light expecting to wash clothes.
2nd, we expected a BBQ grill, none was there; then found a charcoal grill in the garage. However, it is charcoal, in poor shape, and we had not planned on having to buy briquettes and lighter fuel. The type of grill should be made clear in the amenities section, so guests can plan accordingly. So be advised, there is not a BBQ grill, only a briquette grill.
A few minor things; the couch pillows are filthy. One is in shreds, literally, on one side. Furthermore, there are chipped plates and mugs. Two mugs are SO chipped that they are dangerous and should be thrown away.
VERY nice to have clean carpets and windows. And with the view, it was nice to enjoy those clean windows. As others noted, the house photos look exactly as seen online.
The neighborhood was very quiet, also as noted in the description. Unfortunately two neighbors' dogs were not so quiet. One barked every morning, early (between 2-5 a.m.) and another dog barked off and on all day.
The location is excellent. A short drive south to Heceta Head Lighthouse and other interesting sites; a short drive north to Newport and DePoe Bay, lighthouses, and other places of interest. Driftwood Beach is only a mile away and it is it a pretty and a quiet beach.

Home was comfortable, clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Unfortunately, communication was slow in coming. We did not receive instructions for entry until I called several times a half hour before arrival.

It’s nice when the pictures accurately reflect the property. The view is the highlight of the house. From the kitchen/dining area, the living room, main bedroom, and the deck the view of the beach and ocean is beautiful. House was very well equipped and clean.

Enjoyed it very much and are coming back this fall. It is very close to the Meredith office in Waldport and the lady there was wonderful to help us. A problem was trying to access TV channels on the TV in the main living area - could access only NetFlix.. The TV in the master bedroom did not work at all. Hope that is resolved for our next visit. Very nice view and quiet friendly neighborhood very convenient to the Pacific Coast Highway.

The house is located .5 miles from beach access. An easy walk or quick drive. The ocean views from the home and deck are beautiful. The home is comfy and roomy with two good sized bedrooms. It's conveniently located near Waldport and Newport is a short drive. I'd love to stay here again.

After a 9.5 hr drive we walked into a dismay and had to go find something open for a late dinner and couldn’t unpack until 12:00 the following day. Amelia came and saved the week! We had the best week ever and will definitely be back next year same time and maybe stay longer! Cooler Weather in Hot Times
The setting of this rental is terrific for watching waves and traveling to hikes and beaches in this area of the Oregon Coast is quick. It is about a 15 minute walk to its beach. All of the amenities were workable. The property managers were helpful and stayed in touch.

Broken-in, but beautiful
The furniture and appliances are past their prime. The dishwasher might be to blame for dishes that aren’t quite clean. But the deck and its view are glorious. Once we got past the initial impression, we fully enjoyed the quiet of the neighborhood, the sea air through the open sliding doors, the beauty of the surrounding area, the proximity to very good restaurant/takeout options. Would stay again.

This place was super disappointing. The listing said we would have access to the community pool and exercise room. The listing showed pictures of both. We chose that property because we wanted this for our 10 year old. We went down the first day and we were told it wasn’t available for renters. We then spent about 2 hours on phone calls over two days with Meredith property management. We were met with confusion, bad attitudes and poor or nonexistent follow up. We ended up finding the manager of the beach club (Bob) who explained we could use the club for a daily fee of $8 per person. By the time we got that info we were checking out. None of this information was disclosed in the listing and Meredith property management was clueless. The house itself is on a ridge overlooking the beach and ocean and it’s quite roomy. The house itself is dated and not well maintained. They advertised a private jetted tub in the Expedia listing. The hot tub is empty with mud in the bottom. The best feature of the house is the deck overlooking the ocean (btw it’s an 18 minute walk to the beach access down a steep hill). There are two folding chairs and some old plastic chairs on the deck. The couch torn and broken pull out need has been mentioned as a problem in reviews going back to 2019. It still has not been replaced. The strategy seems to be to lie about the amenities, get peoples money then say sorry. Bait and switch!! Avoid. There are several properties in the same hood.

View was exceptional, very roomy, everything was clean and no misty smells which sometimes you find at the coast. We truly loved our time there and hope to go back again and we are certainly telling our friends. I would like to see a crock pot added to the kitchen appliances.

Waldport house
My husband is an I really enjoyed our stay. The view was great. Not really close to the beach but still a good view. The couch is on the ragged side. Has a couple rips. The outside of the house could use a little clean up. The inside was very nice. The fridge needs some improvement the door don't close very well. Have to make sure it shut. The master bedroom was awesome. Huge lots of room. The walk in shower was a dream. The toilet could be a little higher feels like your setting on a coffee can to potty. Overall We would stay here again. Thank you

Great spot to catch up with my parents
We chose this place because it was easy access for my parents who cannot manage a lot of stairs. The layout and view made it a wonderful, comfortable home based for us to chat, play cards, and sightsee in the car. The town of Waldport itself is a quite, modest town, but is well-positioned for sightseeing up and down the coastline.
The beds were comfortable, it was nice to have a washer and dryer and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed to make some simple meals.
Overall, a very nice stay.

Do Not Rent!! Not in livable condition!
Raccoons living under the house! When we talked to Meredith Lodging they said "As for the animals it is the Oregon coast and we cannot do much about them". Neighbors said this is a known problem with the house. They will be reported to HOA, OHA, and animal control. Meredith Lodging was evasive and wanted to brush off the issues instead of make it right. We rescheduled another vacation rental and left their dump. I would think twice about using Meredith Lodging services.
House was not clean- dried on food on dishes, film in the glasses that wipe off white, clearly has not been cleaned recently, let alone deep cleaned. Couch tore up. The owners and Meredith Lodging clearly are not invested in making this home an enjoyable vacation experience. The expectations should be increased now more than ever with COVID.
Again DO NOT RENT this place!

The property needs attention. It’s an adorable home. Couch was ripped. Deck was unusable - dirty plastic chairs and acrylic fencing. Blinds in master were in disrepair. Pillow stains. Location is great. Friendly neighborhood. Meredith Lodging was very responsive.

This property had great views and access to the ocean. It would be an excellent property with a few improvements. The sofa is very old and the sleeper would not fold out because it was broken. The refrigerator leaked so there was constant water on the kitchen floor. The outside deck chairs need to be replaced. Everything else seemed to be working. It was clean but not spotless.

Great house in a beautiful quiet location!
Our family of 4 had a great experience in this house! The view of the ocean alone makes it a great vacation home, and the location is great in other ways as well. We were close enough to things we wanted to do in Newport, but it was nice staying in a quiet neighborhood in Waldport. The little convenience store at the entrance to the neighborhood was great for last minute items. The close beach access and tide pools just up the road were great as well. The house was clean, spacious, and the keypad lock on the door was much easier than keeping track of a key…. The kids loved being the one to punch in the numbers and unlock the door. All around great spot for our family vacation!!

We had a great stay. What an amazing view of the beach! Would like to be a bit closer to the beach but it's hard to beat that view. East access from the highway, easy to get into the house as well. Newer amenities but would suggest the fridge/freezer gets updated in the near future. Will probably book it again!

Restful oasis
My parents were traveling with my husband and me, and we all found this home to be a restful, spacious oasis. Gorgeous views! Really felt like a home you'd like to live in. :) Just a half hour or less from Yaquina Head Lighthouse (north) and Heceta Head Lighthouse (south). Plentiful groceries minutes away at Ray's Food Place (just south of the bridge into Waldport).

Fantastic Honeymoon Location
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon for 3 days. Perfect veiw of the ocean, just like the pictures, and easy beach access at the clubhouse. Perfect location between all the tourist towns, just 30 minutes from any fun activities. We will be coming back soon!
