Absolute con.

I got conned as the booking.com site said it was bed and breakfast only after I paid did I get confirmation it was room only and they refused a refund.

The fact that I got conned.

Absolutely shocking

Not a lot

There was hardly any tea/ coffee facilities, the TV didn’t work in both rooms, the shower was tiny, my travelling companion couldn’t shower, there was 1 pillow on a double bed, we saw nobody on reception the entire time we were they’re, we couldn’t find the rooms

Needs a refurbishment looks like the last time was 1980 If your not fussy in any way it will do for a night but that’s it.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Never again.

On arrival there was no electricity, so we contacted the property and asked them to fix it. During that time we asked them if they could get some to clean the room as it was still dirty and the sheets had sand and stains on them. we also noticed that the mattress was broken and the springs would jam up and spring out. the bathroom and room were both dirty with wall paper coming off the walls. She then said rudely "how much did you pay, this is not a 5 star hotel. I then asked if we could change rooms. She said no. she said you can go stay at another hotel and put the phone down. We then called back as the electric was out again and after noticing there were other rooms available on booking.com and again she repeated herself shouting at us telling us if we have a problem don't call her call booking.com and get your money back, then she put the phone down again. Unfortunately I can't show you all the photos I have, but I can assure you it doesn't get better.

Comfortable quiet relaxing and a great place to stay well it suited me anyway

It is close to the town centre and supermarket and as for the room I was in well what can I say …. I could easily live in that room … I felt comfortable as soon as I walked through the door and as for value for money unbeatable

There was nothing about the property I didn’t like I would stay again no problem and would recommend it to anyone

the rooms were missing items such as windowhandles no mugs or tea facilities no bathroom toilertries or a mirror they tried us in 2 rooms both tvs didnt work and things always missing decor is unkempt no bar facilities either lift temporamental no bath towels either

Appalling behaviour should not be a hotel for booking.com Loyal customers

There locks on the doors don’t open I tried 4 times couldn’t get in they need to oil them so had to call staff while I was waiting I had a guy approach my room who made me feel not safe trying to sell me stolen goods. Then the lady staff member came to the door opened the lock this is done with a security code I had on my phone they sent me I showed her the number and said don’t shout the number out please in the hallway where everybody in the rooms next to me and the guy who came out trying to sell me goods could hear. She still did shouted out the whole security number when asked not to. I was not feeling safe at this point that someone can get into our room and left the property having to pay for another hotel up the rd. disgusting customer service and customers that stay there are allowed to roam intimidating other customers. On my supposed to be peaceful holiday break. I’ve reported to the hotel and booking.com I’m trying for a refund they don’t seem to be willing although the hotel staff and customers are clearly at fault on recking my holiday as had no money let to enjoy my holiday.

CEILINGS LEAKS

Comfortable bed

The ceiling had a hole in it and it spent most of the night and day leaking water all over the carpet from the ceiling and the room had a wet dog smell because of it

Wouldn’t stay here ever again

Their was no breakfast and it was full of homeless people, it was dirty and had bed bugs.

It could have been much more cleaner. It’s gold value for money if it was clean and tidy.

Great price for room great location staff very friendly

Clean and tidy had microwave fridge and kettle in room. Good location staff were lovely

I was disappointed

Room windows had no handle and was kept closed bhy paper between frame a bd window, There were pigeons between ceiling and roof. The toilet bowl had not been cleaned properly.. There was no breakfast as there was no rest aurant. The bed was good

the seaview

where do you start, firstly, no indication of differing levels in passage ways, the stairwell was not well lit, secondly, the bedroom was clean but the bed base was broken and the thin mattress not supported meaning a very uncomfortable 4 nights sleep, we had to ask for a addition duvet to try and soften the bed, thirdly, the tv signal in room was very patchy making it difficult to watch anything, fourthly, the shower was in a cupboard with no extractor fan working and the light fitting was exposed also no clear instructions of how to use the shower meant either being scalded or frozen to death. fifthly, the room was not cleaned for the duration of our stay the towels where not replaced and had to ask for more tea/coffee and milk every day and the bins where not emptied at all, sixthly although advised breakfast was not available, the bar was closed every night, seventy when I asked for a air dryer I was given one which cut out and smelled of burning.

Location is good

Not the cleanest place out of sesion not busy yet place was not clean dirty bathroom and looks like the ceilings and walls are in need of repair flaking paint and wall paper pealing away water markes on walls matress not good curtains dirty and very noisy staff in the morning banging doors wont be back

A nice little break.

Friendly staff i.e. Thelma . Had an upgrade to a sea view double room each.

Room was a little bit tired and no chair or shelves to put things on. Toilet and Shower did'nt work so well.

Lovely quiet hotel

Didn't have breakfast. My second time this year staying at the Majestic, when I return to Great Yarmouth I will always stay at this hotel. The staff are so helpful, specially Nicky who gave us the room we stayed in before, a room with a balcony. We arrived on our trike, & they let us park off road around the back of the hotel. We hope to return there soon.
