Fantastic

A wonderful place

The staff were polite, friendly, and welcoming. The room was clean tidy with lovely little extras, cordial in your room, not just tea and coffee wine glasses provided and a small bottle of milk in a little fridge, you have a breakfast card you can fill in with the time you wish to have breakfast and what you would like. Overall it is a lovely place located in a great area near the train station and near the town centre will definitely be staying again

I personally can't think of anything I didn't like about Kirkgate house

Ideal location, comfortable and welcoming.

Great breakfast, lots of variety of options and with a choice of times for the morning. Owners were welcoming and cheerful. A great stay.

Superb

It was a pleasure to stay here as it was quiet and in a good location. Nice friendly and helpful owners. Good choice for breakfast which was selected the night before.

We only had the one night so our views may be unrepresentative. Overall we had a pleasant experience

The room was very nice if a little small. The breakfast was exactly what we ordered and expected and the beds were comfortable.

The room was a little hot for sleeping and because the night was windy, opening a window would not have been the answer. I'm not sure whether we could have done anything about it but it did not spoil the stay and I don't bother hosts with things unless they are obviously badly wrong. Kirkgate house probably can't do anything about it but parking is only in the municipal car parks. Maybe they could think about a token scheme.

Lovely

Location perfect for main square where majority of bars and restaurants are. Bed very comfy. Breakfast was lovely. Owners were really attentive and friendly, with lovely thoughtful touches like a birthday candle in my hash brown and a card as I mentioned on checking in that this was a trip for my birthday. Would stay again when next in the area.

Nothing that impacts the enjoyment of our stay.

Wonderful stay

Really helpful and friendly landlady, clean room and wonderful Breakfast. We were there to celebrate our engagement and the landlady arranged Rose's to be waiting in our room on our arrival and at Breakfast she improvised a hilarious and touching congratulations of her own in the shape of a Hash Brown engagement cake 😊

Definitely recommend

The most friendly of staff with a very warm welcome. Breakfast delicious - some may not like having to pre-order the items for a cooked breakfast the night before BUT it does mean you get a fresh cooked, delicious one.

The Breakfast was really good, all staff we're very helpful and friendly. Would stop again.

Only down side was parking, but it was only a 10 minute walk to a very well priced long stay car park.

Exceptional

Extremely clean and well kept. Lovely host, very friendly and helpful. Amazing location. 1 min walk to castle and lovely restaurants. Breakfast was one of the best. Well cooked, high quality ingredients, not greasy. I would definitely recommend and will definitely go back.

My room was aliitle warm, but there was a Dyson fan to help with this. Very small negative

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, lovely comfortable room with nice extra touches, great location and very friendly and accommodating hosts. Would highly recommend for a stay in knaresborough.

Relaxed, comfortable and very hospitable with very good facilities.

Excellent breakfast and comfortable bed. Lovely big shower and Toiletries. Room was spotlessly clean with additional extras, orange squash, bottled water and fresh milk. The room was compact and difficult to place a suitcase however it would not deter us from returning.

We had an amazing time for my birthday, in a gorgeous little town, in lovely accommodation.

Rooms very clean. Beds very comfy. Breakfast very tasty, and plenty of it. Owners of the guest house were very friendly, and couldn't do enough for us when we were there, they even popped a candle in my breakfast on my birthday morning. The guest house is also right in town, so very convenient for everything.

The only thing we didn't like was the only window in our room was a small roof velux directly looking on to, and very close to a chimney stack, but we were only staying a couple of days, so wasn't really an issue during our stay.

Cosy and friendly

The room was very clean and comfortable with lots of little thoughtful touches eg cotton wool pads and ear buds provided. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The location was central to all amenities but still nice and quiet at night. Fantastic breakfast

Hidden Gem of a guesthouse

Everything Excellent hosts. Excellent location. Absolutely spotless room One of the nicest guesthouse I have been to. Breakfast amazing. Could not fault this place at all. Thanks Karen and Robert You should be proud of yourselves.

Brilliant stay

Arrived and was very helpful on advice for parking. Upgraded my room due to me booking a twin by accident. Perfect location for what we wanted to do over the weekend and they do an amazing breakfast, not sure who poached those eggs but they were perfect! Thanks for a lovely stay. We even got to meet your puppy. Can’t recommend enough. Thanks and all the best, Sam and Aimee
