The location was excellent and pictureque streets were clean and everything was well kept. Just a short walk to the main town with plenty of pubs and food venues.
Train fares into York were a bit pricey.

Amazing location. Very clean and cosy. The cottage is kept really warm in this cold and very wet weather.

Fabulous location , lovely old property

Situated in an excellent location for the town (up some very steep roads or steps) and the water front of the River Nidd. Very close to railway station for trains to Harrogate, Leeds or York. Plenty of restaurants and pubs in the town. Mike, the owner, couldn't do enough for us and always made sure we had everything we needed for breakfast (continental style).

This was our third stay at teardrop cottage & it certainly lived up to the previous experiences!
Mike always goes above & beyond for his guests with an immaculate room, plenty of tea/coffee/bottled water/condiments, the comfiest bed & more!
His recommendations for places to eat & drink were very well recieved & we will definately be booking for a fourth time - just what we need for quality time away from working & parenting xx
Nothing - we were more than satisfied with every aspect of our stay!

Ideally situated on the river near the viaduct.
The room was particularly small although I do appreciate it is a cottage.

a beautiful old cottage right beside the viaduct on the river
small bedroom and shower room with squeaky floor but hey it’s a very old cottage so it’s to be expected

The location of the property is fantastic, literally in the heart of everywhere we visited, the view from everywhere is beyond amazing, the cottage had a real rustic charm about it and felt really homely. The host was extremely helpful, cleaners everyday, just a beautiful place all together.
We had a room where you had to cross the hall to use the bathroom, it was extremely spacious and lovely but as we were staying in shared accommodation we felt we had to tip toe around at night out of fear of waking others when crossing the hall and opening doors to use the bathroom.

The location is amazing.
The cottage sits on the waters edge. Cafes and pubs can be found alongside.
Steps can be located all along the waterside to the town centre above.
The cottage has a secluded seating area upstairs for guests in the upstairs rooms. Where you get the beautiful sights of boats on the river and of course the viaduct.
The downstairs room offers an added bonus of a secluded hot tub.
We choose to pay for a hot breakfast in a cafe nearby pointed out by the host.
A continental breakfast is available on site.
Our room the pink room had beautiful floorboards but you couldn't take a step without a creak.
The shower and toilet room was tiny. The whole place was wet when using the shower.

Location under the viaduct, and near to all amenities was fantastic. Mike was an excellent host, and communicated well and was very welcoming. It is a beautiful place to stay, with great attention to detail. We had a wonderful stay and will certainly go back. It was useful to have on street parking near the property.
