This was the perfect place to stay for our week in Bar Harbor and Acadia. There is a grocery store right across the street. The Sand Bar/Bar Island is just 2 blocks away and is a must see for tide pooling and hiking. There is a great restaurant literally less than 5 steps away for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It was really good! Kim was very helpful throughout the stay. The house is stocked with everything you need. We have stayed in rentals when this hasn’t always been the case. You are sure to enjoy your trip when staying here!

Great property for a visit to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. There were 6 adults and we all loved the location of this house. You can’t get a better location. A grocery store that you can walk to…a restaurant across the street. Shopping and many restaurants just a short walk away. The house is super comfortable and is stocked so well with everything you need. We all agreed that we would go back. Communication with the owner was great.

First time to Bar Harbor and so glad we found this place. Located on a quiet street, yet we were a 5 minute walk to everything. House was clean and comfortable. Owner’s communication was excellent. Would stay here again.

Den in back of the house was very nice - bright with skylights and quiet. We spent most of our indoor time there. Location is great, in that it’s just off Cottage and 1/2 block from grocery store. However, new construction on the street feels overwhelming, which is too bad for all the properties on this short street.
The rest of the house is pretty small. King and queens barely fit in the bedrooms. Further, wood stairs are a bit steep and are very squeaky and loud. The baths and kitchen were fine, but really need an update…look like they haven’t been touched since 1970s.
Communications with owner were pretty good, but written info in house was often contradictory.

We decide last minute to go to Bar Harbor. This was a great choice close to everything and so much for our kids to do. Highly recommend.

This home was everything that we wanted for our Maine visit. The house was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities needed. It was perfectly located to walk to local sites, restaurants and shopping. Easy access to Acadia National Park as well. Kim was great to work with and we highly recommended their home for your Bar Harbor visit. We will be back!

Great place to stay in the area. Walking distance to many attractions and the LLBean bus that goes to the park. Our family loved it.

Aysgarth Cottage was perfect for our family vacation to Acadia. The house is super close to the park and walking distance to the grocery store for hiking snacks and restaurants for breakfast/dinner. The house was very clean and comfortable for our family of 6 adults. Kim was very responsive and left clear instructions. Our only complaint is washing/drying the linens before the 10am check out time is very tight. Even making sure towels were done the night before, waking up, packing, broom cleaning, and taking out the trash, left us down to the wire trying to switch the second load of sheets to the dryer to get out in time. Considering the cleaning fee, it'd be easier to get out at 10am just stripping the sheets. Overall happy with the stay!

Property is just blocks from Main Street. It’s an easy walk to the water, shops and food. House fit our party of seven just fine. Every thing you might need is there, although we primarily were gone during the day and didn’t want to cook.

The house exceeded our expectations. Very clean, well appointed with many comforts of home. Communication with owner was excellent. Location is the best- just far enough from the center of town to be quiet but a quick 5 minute walk away. Would highly recommend this property.

This property was everything we expected it to be. Everything was within walking distance and had something for everyone to do. The house was clean and well kept. The host checked in on us just to make sure we had everything we needed, and let us know about all the information that is at the house to help us plan our days. This was our first time visiting BarHarbor and we all had an amazing time. Can’t wait to come back and stay here again! This house is in the perfect location if you want to just park your car and walk, which we did a lot of!
Thank you for opening your home to us!

Outstanding well equipped home walking distance to everything in bar harbor, but just far enough away! Property is settled into a quiet street minutes away from shopping, shore path, and bar island sand bridge. Awesome roof deck, sleeping areas and tons of space in the living areas. Quick drive to ANP loop road and everything the park has to offer. Property manager was excited to let us know about many of the great hikes and activities in the park and bar harbor, including awesome restaurant 15 feet away from the front door….the black friar. Best meal we had all week! Vrbo only has a five star rating, but we give this location and th open communication with property owner 12 stars. Thanks for an awesome visit!

Roomy and comfortable this 3 bed/2 bath home was very comfortable for our week in Bar Harbor. East walking distance from everything we wanted to do in town, very close to grocery and many good close by restaurants. Great beds and terrific water pressure in showers. Location ideal for spending time in Acadia NP.
Our only complaint which the owners of course can’t control was the noise from the massive construction project directly across the street. It started every morning during the week at 7am. Guessing it will be completed later this year and then it won’t be an issue.

Lovely house, great amenities, extremely convenient location. Wonderful communications with the gracious owner. I recommend!!

The location was great, walkable and close to everything. The owner was very easy to work with, responsive, friendly and accommodating. However, the house is in need of a deep clean. The carpet is stained, and furnishings are very tired and worn. If these things don't bother you, then I would recommend the house just for the location. We made do, but it certainly wasn't what I was expecting based on prior reviews.

Great location. Easy walk to downtown and nice grocery store. Smallish bedrooms as it is an older house, with comfy beds. Outdoor area is a picnic table on driveway. Appreciated that Host called to see how things were going. Requiring us to wash and dry the towels before we left was a little unusual. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The perfect location! Across the street is a grocery store and everything that you would want to do in Bar Harbor is within walking distance. The bedrooms are tight, but we don’t spend much time in them anyway. Host is easily reachable.

Ideal location in Bar Harbor, near Bar Island sandbar bridge / grocery store but on a quiet side-street.
House was well-stocked and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at 9 Summer St. The house is in a great location, very close to the center of Bar Harbor, Rt 3, and “The Bar”at low tide. There was enough room for 2 large cars to park with bike racks on both. We were 2 families that stayed over Columbus Day weekend and room for the 8 of us. Kim was easy to communicate with. I would stay here again.

We had a great week in Acadia. Kim's place was the perfect location- we didn't have to worry about parking, could walk around town every day, and the proximity to the park made it incredibly convenient with a baby who occasionally just needed to stop for a break!

Just returned from our one week stay in Acadia at Kim’s home. We were a family of five with three adult children. Location was terrific right in the center of town within walking distance to supermarket, main strip of restaurants and shops just down the block from the sandbar walk to Bar Island and only a few miles from Acadias park entrance. No worries about parking once we were there. The house was very well equipped and quite comfortable. Lots of room to spread out after a long day of hiking. Kim even has a cupboard full of spices, teas and some coffee for your use in addition to all the dishes, pots and pans and appliances one would have in their own kitchen. There is even a cooler available if you needed it! Lots of informational pamphlets and booklets around too. We arrived around 5 pm the day we checked in and the house was all ready and had obviously just been cleaned. We would definitely stay again if we return and will recommend her home to friends and family.

This house in Bar Harbor was in an ideal location. Walking distance to downtown restaurants, shops, and Harbor and also very convenient to get into and out of town easily. The local grocery story is a very short walk away as well. The location was especially helpful with all the summer crowds in the area since parking in town was not an issue for us. The access to Acadia National Park was also excellent. The house comes very well equipped and the property owner was very responsive and prompt in communications. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our family of 6, Grandparents, Parents and 2 grandchildren had a wonderful week at this home. Kim called to make sure we arrived safely and everything was in order. The home was exactly as described. It was clean and everything worked well. We could not have found a better location. We could walk to everything. The restaurants and site seeing venues we easily within walking distance which eliminated all the parking challenges. Acadia National Park entrance was within a 15 minute drive.
We would definitely stay here again should we visit Bar Harbor in the future.
