The Yellow House offered just what we needed and wanted for our family reunion. We were able to house everyone, and had places to be together and places to be apart. The large, mostly flat yard was great for activities with the kids. We appreciated having two refrigerators. Plenty of parking for all our cars. Things inside were not so precious that we were worried about being there. Host was very responsive to a couple of requests and questions before our stay.

Our stay was what we needed, the house was large enough to accommodate our needs. There was some areas of the house that needed cleaned, like under the beds but other than that we had a wonderful stay. I would recommend the Yellow House to others to rent. We did have a storm go through Columbia and we lost power for a short time but as a former Boy Scout we were prepared and I bought a camp stove and was able to fix supper. We did get power back on quickly. It was a good stay.

Perfect for our softball team. Tons of space. 2 refrigerators. We really enjoyed it.

The property manager was great in terms of communication. However, the pictures don't reflect the age of the house with its stained carpets and lumpy mattresses. We also had an issue with ants in the kitchen. On the plus side, there is ample space for large families with plenty of beds and bathrooms.

Had a family reunion with 41 folks for an afternoon and evening of fun. Used the propane cooker and built a fire in the fire pit. All went well. Not all stayed over night, but of those who stayed it was a positive experience.

We were in town for our son's wedding - and the house is perfect for his groomsman & our family. We were able to comfortably host a post wedding day party for at least 40 people. The house is large, and yet cozy. The owner was quickly available when we had questions prior to booking. This home checked off all the boxes for what we needed this week.

Renting went without a hitch. Payments were made and received in the timeline allowed. User interface very intuitive and seamless.

Easy to arrange and properly is clean

The yellow house is very spacious. We had nine adults and three children and everyone had their own beds and baths. The location is the east side of town which fits perfectly for our plans and it’s not far from anywhere in Columbia. We have stayed there multiple years. It’s a very comfortable weekend. A big beautiful backyard and patio for enjoying outdoors. And the owner is very responsive to any questions.

This house was large enough to host our extended family over the weekend. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone and multiple family rooms to spread out.

We had people from all over the USA coming to town for a conference during a Mizzou football game week. We needed the most reasonably priced vrbo that would fit the most amount of people. This house WORKED! It has plenty of bedrooms and lots of bathrooms! There were several who commented that it was well managed and clean. When you use somewhere the first time for a variety of people you don't know if it will please everyone. We had NO COMPLAINTS and they all said they would stay there when we came back again. They even accommodated us checking in a day earlier because we didn't need the last day we had originally planned. Very accommodating! IT WAS AWESOME!

We had a large age range at our event. The Yellow House has three living rooms to spread out in. We had a puzzle room, loud games area and the large group room. We look forward to returning for a third year.

There was so much room. We had a party of 15 and it didn’t feel cramped at all. I love that there is 3 different living rooms.

The property had plenty of room for our group of 12. I was able to put girls on one side of the house and boys on the other with enough space in the house that the kids could all get ready when needed. There were plenty of bathrooms and beds for everyone and at the same time enough space to let kids be themselves. We rented this property for a school event in which students had to qualify for competition in Columbia. At the time of the rental I had estimated how many students might go. I contacted Lori and told her the situation. She was very understanding of the situation and even worked with us on check out times to make our stay easier.

Had a bunch of us that went to ride at finger lakes and this was a great place to come back to.

My ultimate frisbee team stays at Yellow House whenever we have a tournament in Colombia, MO, and the place is perfect for us. Lori is very communicative and helpful, and the house is great for our team with it's big comfortable living room and many bedrooms and bathrooms. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed. The location is also very close to a grocery store, which is helpful. We hope to keep coming back to this house!

The house was an excellent choice for us, giving each family their own bedroom & bathroom. With three livingrooms and four tables w/ chairs there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out to play cards, do art projects, and just hang out. The backyard is huge so plenty of room for the kids to run around. (We played a very competitive game of kickball) The patio is very large with 3 large picnic tables and a fire ring. We made s'mores so bring your marshmallows and sticks. The kitchen is stocked with lots of dishes, pots/pans, & utensils. There are two refrigerators so plenty of room for food & drinks. The main livingroom is huge, with a very large sectional and two recliners. The other two livingrooms were nice with couchs and chairs. All 3 livingrooms had tvs with direct-tv and Netflix. The internet was hit or miss at times. If you are looking for a great place for family gatherings then this place is great! (We plan to go back again next December) However if you are expecting a miraculously clean place then this might not be for you. It was mostly clean, but it could definitely use a deep cleaning. It is a huge house so I'm sure it's hard to hit every detail. Some examples were cobwebs in ceiling corners, dust build-up on ceiling fans, refrigerator needed a good cleaning, (especially freezer!) and the wood floors needed to be swept better around the base-boards. Also several windows needed cleaned, as well as the windowsills. The beds were clean, although one of the queen beds had a big hole in the fitted sheet. The bathrooms were OK. Overall it was acceptable. I will say the house has a very "homey" feel to it. Almost like coming home to grandma's house. 😀

We really enjoyed staying here, works great for our family. Looking forward to staying here at Christmas. However the last two times we were there, the kitchen was dirty. We had to wipe off the counters and sink before we could use them. The oven needs a really good cleaning. The rest of the house is great. Just think they need to talk to the cleaning crew. Looking forward to staying there again.

We stayed for the weekend for my granddaughters wedding. The Yellow house is great for accommodating large family groups and still have plenty of privacy. Everyone who visits is always surprised at how roomy and convenient it is to stay there. We really appreciate the accommodations and helpful owners!

This was a great place for multiple families. Everything we needed was there. Would definitely rent again!

Plenty of space for everyone!

The Yellow House is a comfortable place for big groups of family and friends to gather and visit and yet stilll enjoy quiet privacy when needed. It is very close to all necessary amenities, grocery stores, convenience store, gas, etc, and not far from downtown and campus. The yard and back deck are favorites of ours, for group conversations and to let kids run around. It's all on one main floor and very easy to navigate for young and old.
